When it comes to winter wear, boots are a wardrobe staple but styling them can be a bit tricky so we’ve got some do’s and don’ts to help you.
Knee-length heeled boots look great worn with a midi dress – but if you’re more petite wear your dress with a pair of ankle boots.
Skinny jeans worn with ankle boots are a perfect combination. If you prefer to wear your jeans tucked in, ensure they are fitted and ankle length so they don’t bunch up. A pair of fray hem or cuffed ankle length jeans should hit the top of the boot or be a little shorter to show a bit of skin.
Alternatively a pair of flat or low heeled knee length boots also work well with skinny jeans, but the same rules apply to avoid bunching.
Try to stick to similar colours to create an elongated look – don’t wear black boots with white jeans, choose a light beige or grey colour instead and keep black boots for dark blue/black denim.
A pair of heeled ankle boots are perfect styled with on-trend cropped wide leg jeans or trousers, but remember to keep your outfit tailored with a fitted look on top to balance your overall look.
Another trending look this year is the ankle sock boots which look great teamed with dresses to show off your legs without adding bulk around the ankle.
